Contractor, a Mumbai-born Indian and who was a resident of Nigeria since she was seven years old. had a lot of knowledge about different cultures around the world and was able to travel at such a young stage. The audition was held for the part in the Stratford Shakespeare Festival (Ontario Canada) and was awarded. The 92 productions she performed earned praise from Canadian theater critics. She accepted the invitation to enroll in Stratford's conservatory, a program that allows only four males and eight women are able to take an intensive 20-week program in classical theatre. Her place in the upcoming stage season was securing and she was offered the part in the play as Hermia.
